1 Killed in Mojave Crash at Backus and Tehachapi Willow Springs Roads
MOJAVE, CA (May 8, 2022) – A car crash killed at least one person at Backus Road and Tehachapi Willow Springs Road in Mojave.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the tragic accident took place on Sunday evening. Officers reported the wreck at about 6:13 p.m.
CHP said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Mojave. One of them t-boned the other at the intersection of Backus and Tehachapi Willow Springs roads.
2 Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near a heritage museum. They confirmed that one individual died as a result of the collision.
The name of the deceased victim has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, the report did not mention if any other party ended up hurt after the incident.
CHP forced the area of Backus and Tehachapi Willow Springs roads to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Mojave crash is still under investigation.
