MOJAVE (February 1, 2017)- According to the Antelope Valley Times, a deadly auto versus pedestrian collision involving a married couple from Chilliwack, British Columbia, took place Monday evening on Highway 14.
California Highway Patrol officials were notified of the incident at 7:05 p.m. when the driver of a 2010 Honda Civic, Albert Fasolo Jr., of Las Vegas, was headed southbound and struck the married couple for unknown reasons.
The man, 79, sadly suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced at the scene. The woman, 74, was seriously injured, and rushed to Antelope Valley Hospital. She remains in serious condition as of Wednesday morning.
Both victims remains unidentified at this time as the California Highway Patrol take on investigation responsibilities.
Neither drugs nor alcohol are believed to have been involved.
