Woman Fatally Struck by Vehicle at La Quinta Inn Parking Lot
Fresno, CA (May 15, 2022) – Monique Contreraz, a 29-year-old homeless person, died following a suspected hit-and-run collision that occurred on Cornelia Avenue.
The FOX News reported a vehicle struck a female party, dragged the body for miles. When the driver entered the parking lot of La Quinta Inn and Suites on Cornelia Avenue, the victim fell from under the vehicle.
Our sources indicated the crash took place early Friday morning.
Monique Contreraz Dies in Fresno Pedestrian Accident on Cornelia Avenue
After someone discovered the body left lying on the ground, emergency crews responded to the parking lot near Shaw and Golden State Avenue. Medical personnel confirmed the pedestrian died in the crash. The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office identified the fatal victim as Monique Contreraz.
Authorities added a leashed dog also died in the collision.
According to the article published online, the driver involved in the horrible incident fled the scene. Several law enforcement agencies collaborated to identify and locate the hit-and-run suspect.
Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
