Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 395 on Sept. 22nd
MONO COUNTY, Calif. (Sept. 23, 2021) — A Mono County crash on Highway 395 near Buckeye Road happened Wednesday, September 22nd.
The 4:32 a.m. head-on collision involved a big rig truck and two vehicles including a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck pulling a motorcycle on a trailer, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP reported the southbound lanes were blocked by the collision and debris in the roadway. Meanwhile, paramedics responded due to major injuries suffered by at least one of the involved motorists. The names, age and gender of those involved is unknown at this time.
Additionally, there are no further details about the Mono County car accident. This area is known for collisions and Highway 395 is also known as “blood alley” due to the many deadly and serious injury crashes in this area.
Meanwhile, investigators seek to determine the cause of the traffic accident as well as liability.
