1 Killed in Monrovia Crash on Eastbound 210 Freeway Near Myrtle Avenue
MONROVIA, CA (May 22, 2021) – At least one was killed after a car crash on the 210 Freeway in Monrovia.
According to an article published by My News LA, the tragic accident occurred on Saturday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 3:30 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol said a black Ford Escape and a silver Ford Focus collided for an unknown reason in Monrovia. The two crashed on the eastbound 210 Freeway, east of Myrtle Avenue.
2 Cars Collide in Monrovia
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene. They found a male occupant in one of the cars involved losing a lot of blood due to the impact of the crash.
The patient sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel then rushed him to the Huntington Memorial Hospital, where he died.
The name of the deceased individual remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, CHP forced the eastbound 210 Freeway to shut down for a time following the wreck.
The cause of the fatal Monrovia crash is still under investigation.
