MONTAGUE (February 8, 2017)- According to the California Highway Patrol, a major injury crash was reported Wednesday afternoon on Big Springs Road near County Highway A-12.
The incident was reported at 12:56 p.m. involving a white pickup and a mail truck.
Police described the scene as the mail truck was turned over on its side while the vehicle was significantly damaged with a female driver trapped inside.
While both parties were seriously injured, the woman was said to have been bleeding badly with a serious wrist injury. Both motorists were rushed to trauma centers for their injuries.
The cause of the crash remains unclear at this time as CHP investigates.
