SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, California (February 29, 2016) — Police are searching for the hit-and-run driver who struck Dieu Van Nguyen, 66, of Montclair as he rode his bicycle on Kinsley Street at Helena Avenue, the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner reported.
The Montclair Police Department responded to the 911 call about the bicycle crash about 6:23 p.m. on Friday, February 26. Nguyen was found on the sidewalk suffering from major injuries and was taken to a local hospital where he died at 7:01 p.m.
Police say the suspect drove away from the scene of the fatal crash in a westbound direction on Kingsley Street in a full-size, dark 4-door pickup truck that has lights on the roof just above the windshield.
