The motorcycle was impounded for evidence and the coroner was sent to the scene where the rider died. He has not been identified by name at this time.
A full investigation is underway by police.
Montclair Fatal Motorcycle Crash Investigation
Police are heading up an investigation into what led to this fatal crash and liability. The map of this intersection shows that Kadota Avenue has a stop sign and intersects with the larger Mission Boulevard which does not have a stop sign or a light. A vehicle approaching Mission would need to stop and yield the right-of-way to oncoming vehicles. The question remains as to whether the bike was traveling on Kadota or Mission authorities have confirmed that another driver was involved in this accident. Police will also seek to find out if drugs or alcohol were involved.
The family members may be able to bring a wrongful death lawsuit against a negligent party who causes their loved one’s death.
