Bicyclist Critically Injured Montclair Hit-and-Run at Orchard and Central
MONTCLAIR (December 9, 2018) – A bicyclist was critically injured after an alleged hit-and-run crash in the area of Orchard Street and Central Avenue Saturday evening, according to The Orange County Register and KTLA.
The accident was reported on December 8 at about 7:30 p.m.
As per the reports, Montclair Police said a man in his 40s or 50s was riding a bicycle when for an unknown reason he was struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Orchard Street and Central Avenue.
Fire department officials along with the paramedics responded and found the cyclist left lying unconscious in the roadway as a result of the crash. The victim was then immediately taken to a trauma center, where he was listed in critical condition.
Alejandro Lopez Cuevas Arrested For Hit-and-Run
His name was not disclosed. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver involved did not stop to render aid and fled the scene.
The car was later located by the officials hidden in the backyard of a residence in Pomona. The suspect, 18-year-old Alejandro Lopez Cuevas, was arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center.
