At Least 1 Badly Hurt in Collision Near Garfield Avenue Saturday
Montebello, CA (February 19, 2022) – A traffic accident that occurred Saturday on State Route 60 resulted in injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
Earlier reports indicated a solo-vehicle veered off the traffic lanes and slammed against the center median of the highway in Montebello. Officials said the collision took place in the area near Garfield Avenue.
The CHP logged the incident at about 10:38 p.m.
Children Possibly Injured in Montebello Car Crash on State Route 60, February 19
When rescue teams arrived at the site, they found juveniles possibly trapped in the wreckage. Responding firefighters worked extensively to extricate all the occupants in the Dodge RV. Paramedics later evaluated the conditions of all the children, and adults involved in crash.
Authorities confirmed the collision resulted in major injuries. However, the number of parties injured and their names remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise cause of the car crash on State Route 60 in Montebello.
