Victim ID’ed as Yun Hang Kimm 85
MONTEBELLO, California (March 31, 2016) — A fatal crash was reported Wednesday afternoon between a jackknifed big rig truck and a car in the westbound lanes of the 60 Pomona Freeway, near San Gabriel Boulevard, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The collision took place about 4:15 p.m. when the driver of a Toyota identified as Yun Hang Kim, 85, of Burbank, collided with a big rig.
Per the Pasadena Star News, Kim sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene while the big rig driver was apparently uninjured.
Authorities are in the process of investigating the collision.
