Bicyclist Hospitalized After Traffic Collision on Mountain Drive Sunday
Montecito, CA (June 6, 2021) – A bicycle rider suffered serious injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on E Mountain Drive in Montecito Sunday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, the bicyclist collided with a passenger vehicle in the 960 block of E Mountain Drive. The make and model of the car involved in the wreck have not been revealed thus far.
Major Injury Bicycle Accident in Montecito, June 6
Emergency crews reportedly arrived at the crash site shortly after 5:40 p.m. Paramedics found the bicycle rider with major injuries. Because of the severe condition of the victim, an ambulance immediately transported the man to the hospital for treatment.
Additional details on the bicycle accident in Montecito remained unclear. At this time, detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate exactly how and why the collision happened.
