Multi-Vehicle Collision Near Sheffield Drive Sunday
Montecito, CA (October 10, 2021) – A traffic accident involving several cars occurred Sunday morning on Highway 101, the KEYT News reported.

Authorities said a gray Honda Pilot heading south on the highway slowed down when it approached Sheffield Drive. According to the article published online, the driver of the Honda Pilot experienced glares from the sun.
When the Honda Pilot slowed down, a gray Honda Accent traveling behind it failed to reduce speed. The Accent slammed into the back of the Pilot.
A similar incident took place in the same area shortly after 7:20 a.m. According to the article published online, four different vehicles piled-up on the freeway in Montecito.
Responding officers briefly shut down all the lanes to clear the crash site. Rescue teams pushed all the cars into one lane, then reopened the number two lane for the morning traffic. Paramedics checked the conditions of all people involved in the mishap. The names of the possible victims remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
Further investigation on the car accident on Highway 101 in Montecito is underway.
