MONTEREY, California (June 7, 2016) — The 21-year-old Seaside man who was killed early Tuesday morning after a vehicle crashed into a tree on the southbound Highway 1 has been identified as Andy Oscar Carreno Crisostomo, according to Monterey Herald.
A California Highway Patrol dispatch said the crash took place at 5:58 AM. Police say a red sedan was allegedly speeding prior to crashing into the tree on the right shoulder of the highway, just south of Highway 68. The report stated the vehicle was stuck about 45 feet into the tree. Paramedics responded but at least one person died at the scene, the report does not say whether others were injured in the crash.
The Carmel Police Department was at the scene with CHP officers investigating the crash.
