1 Killed in Monterey County Crash on Highway 101 at Camphora Gloria Road
MONTEREY COUNTY, CA (July 1, 2022) – A crash killed at least one person on Highway 101 and Camphora Gloria Road in Monterey County.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the fatal accident took place on Friday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 4:58 p.m.
CHP said three vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Monterey County. They crashed on Highway 101 at Camphora Gloria Road.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
The incident log described two of the vehicles as a gray Ford and a semi-truck. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene in the Camphora community.
Medical personnel confirmed that one victim died as as a result of the collision. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, officers forced both of Highway 101 to shut down at Camphora Gloria Road for a time following the wreck. The cause of the Monterey County crash is still under investigation.
