Monterey County Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Molera Road, August 5MONTEREY COUNTY (August 7, 2018) – A deadly traffic collision occurred Sunday afternoon on Molera Road, according to the Mercury News.

The accident happened at 1:30 p.m. just west of Highway 1.

As per the article, 27-year-old Noemi Sanchez, of Salinas, was driving a 1999 GMC Suburban in the same direction ahead of the motorcycle. The Suburban reportedly slowed down to attempt a left turn, when the motorcyclist passed on the left as the vehicle began its turn.

Officials believed the rider veered right to avoid the GMC Suburban, but the motorcyclist ended up hitting the rear of the vehicle.

Meanwhile, authorities mentioned Sanchez was traveling with an adult passenger, and four juveniles at the time of the incident. All parties occupying the GMC Suburban were unharmed in the wreck.
