MONTEREY, California (April 21, 2016) — A hit-and-run driver in a black vehicle reportedly struck a car causing a chain-reaction crash between three motorists Thursday morning in front of 980 Fremont Street, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The suspect driver fled the scene of the crash after they allegedly struck a woman’s car and she was pushed forward into a third motorist about 10 a.m. this morning. The two drivers who remained at the scene exchanged information, but police are searching for the suspect in this injury crash. Paramedics responded to help those who were hurt, but it’s unclear what the extent of injuries were at this time.
The crash took place near Monterey Peninsula College and St. John’s Cemetery.
Police are investigating the crash and looking for the suspect.
