5-Car Accident in Monterey Park, Vehicle Overturned
Garvey, Calif. (August 1, 2023) — A car accident happened Monday morning along the Interstate 10 Freeway near North New Avenue in Monterey Park, California.
The collision occurred about 8:34 a.m. on August 1st, close to North New Avenue in Los Angeles County, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
A tan Toyota RAV4 overturned in the middle of the Interstate 10 Freeway causing the blockage of the fast lane. Also, there were five other vehicles involved in the collision. It was reported that one of the five cars involved ended up in the first lane, while another ended up between lane one and lane two. Two vehicles had pulled to the right side of the road and got out of their cars. It was reported that the passengers in the overturned vehicle did not appear to be injured. Nevertheless, paramedics responded to help those that were injured in the crash.
Meanwhile, tow trucks arrived on the scene to remove the damaged vehicles from the highway to resume the flow of traffic. Investigators are working on the case to determine who is at fault for the collision on the Interstate 10 Freeway in Monterey Park.
