1 Killed in Monterey Park Crash on 60 Freeway at Atlantic Boulevard
MONTEREY PARK, CA (October 10, 2021) – At least one was killed after a car crash on the 60 Freeway and Atlantic Boulevard in Monterey Park.
According to an article published by My News LA, the tragic accident took place on Sunday morning. Officers reported the wreck at 4:50 a.m.
The California Highway Patrol said at least two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Monterey Park. They crashed on the eastbound 60 Freeway at Atlantic Boulevard.
2 Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and confirmed that one person died as a result of the collision.
The name of the deceased party remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if any other patient ended up hurt upon impact.
Meanwhile, officers forced the eastbound lanes of the 60 Freeway at Atlantic to shut down for about an hour following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Monterey Park crash is still under investigation.
