1 Killed in Monterey Park Crash on Eastbound 60 Freeway
MONTEREY PARK, CA (January 25, 2021) – A car crash killed at least one person along the 60 Freeway in Monterey Park.
According to an article published by My News LA, the tragic accident occurred on Monday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 2:30 p.m.
A dispatch by California Highway Patrol indicated that three vehicles collided in the eastbound lanes of the 60 Freeway. They crashed for an unknown reason west of the Atlantic Boulevard off-ramp.

Their incident log described two of the cars involved as a Honda Accord and a Kia Sorento. Firefighters along with the paramedics responded and pronounced one individual dead at the scene.
The name of the deceased victim has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. CHP also did not mention if any other party ended up injured as a result of the collision.
Meanwhile, officials forced three lanes of the freeway to shut down for two hours and a half following the crash. The cause of the fatal accident is still under investigation.
