Semi-Truck Rear Ended a Vehicle on State Route 60
MONTEREY PARK, Calif. (August 15, 2024) — A two-vehicle car accident happened Wednesday in Monterey Park on the Pomona 60 Freeway near the Paramount Boulevard on ramp.
The traffic accident occurred around 6:34 PM Wednesday evening on August 14th 2024, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The white semi truck allegedly rear-ended a driver in a grey Honda SUV last night in Monterey Park.
Both vehicles pulled onto the right side of the westbound side of the freeway. The Honda CRV SUV was on an embankment. A good Samaritan in a grey Kia K5 pulled over to check on the parties involved. The semi truck driver declined an ambulance but the passengers in the grey SUV it is unknown if there were injuries. In addition, due to the impact of the crash, one of the vehicles involved was leaking gas.
Paramedics responded and located those with injuries and transported them to a nearby hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
Investigators are working to determine who is at fault for the accident in Monterey Park California on the Pomona 60 Freeway.
