MORENO, California (January 13, 2015) – At least one person suffered major injuries Tuesday morning in a crash between a pickup truck and a semi-tractor trailer truck while driving on Highway 67 at Willow Road, according to a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the 7:13 a.m. crash and rescued one person who was trapped in the wreckage. The individual was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital where they are being treated for major injuries, the report said.
The pickup truck suffered moderate front-end damage and was blocking the No. 1 southbound lane.
Police say southbound and northbound traffic was getting heavy and called for two sign trucks to be placed on either side of the crash scene with the notice “slowing ahead, prepare to stop.”
Police are heading up an investigation into the accident to determine liability.
