MORENO VALLEY, California (May 13, 2014) – Two people suffered major and minor injuries in a single-vehicle crash Monday night at the intersection of Gernert and Morton roads, in the Box Springs area according to press release by the Riverside County Fire Department.
About p.m., CHP officers and some 14 Riverside County Fire Department paramedics responded to the crash involving a solo pickup truck whose driver veered off the roadway and plummeted down an embankment about 30 feet, the report said.
Rescuers had to cut open the vehicle to remove the two injured people before transporting them both by American Medical Response ground ambulances to a nearby hospital for treatment of major and minor injuries.
”Police will investigate this collision to determine liability,” said Attorney James Johnson. “Anyone injured in this type of crash should get immediate help for their injuries for the best possible recovery.”
