MORENO VALLEY, California (March 7, 2016) — One person suffered major injuries and a second had moderate wounds following a solo vehicle crash Sunday afternoon on the westbound Highway 60, just west of Perris Boulevard, a CAL FRE/Riverside County Fire Department report said.
The crash was reported about 3:16 p.m. and prompted a response from police and medical staff with the fire department.
Firefighters had to cut and rescue the two victims from the wreckage of the vehicle. They were taken to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries.
The emergency response included 11 firefighters, two engine companies, one truck company and overhead personnel, the report said.
Police are investigating what caused the crash.
