
7 Injured in Moreno Valley Crash on 60 Freeway Near Day Street
MORENO VALLEY, CA (March 13, 2023) – Several were injured after a crash on the 60 Freeway near Day Street in Moreno Valley.
According to a report published by the On Scene TV, the accident took place on Sunday night. Officers responded to the wreck on March 12 at around 8:50 p.m.
The Riverside County Fire Department said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Moreno Valley. The cars crashed on the 60 Freeway near the Day Street off-ramp.
The incident happened when a small SUV slammed into an orange-colored sedan at a high rate of speed. The impact pushed the orange car about 50 yards down the roadway.
2 Cars Collide
Both vehicles obtained moderate damage as a result of the collision. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found a total of seven people, three adults and four children, hurt.
The children and two adults sustained non-life-threatening injuries while the driver of the sedan survived with unspecified injuries. Medical personnel then rushed the patients to the hospital for treatment.
The reports did not release the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, officers forced a stretch of the 60 Freeway to shut down near Day Street following the wreck.
The cause of the Moreno Valley crash is still under investigation.
