1 Seriously Injured in Moreno Valley Crash on Eastbound 60 Freeway
MORENO VALLEY, CA (July 7, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash on the 60 Freeway in Moreno Valley.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident occurred on Wednesday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 12:39 p.m.
CHP said a black GMC Yukon XL, a pickup truck and a third vehicle collided for an unknown reason in Moreno Valley. They crashed on the eastbound side of the 60 Freeway, west of Nason Street.
Multiple Cars Collide Near Nason Street
According to the incident log, one car rolled over upon impact. A person ended up ejected from one of the vehicles involved and another occupant became trapped in the wreckage.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and confirmed that one patient sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel took the wounded party to a hospital for treatment. Officials did not disclose the name of the victim and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the eastbound lanes of the 60 Freeway to shut down following the wreck. Authorities are still determining the cause of the Moreno Valley crash.
