Pedestrian Killed in Moreno Valley Crash on Indian Street Near Hemlock
MORENO VALLEY, CA (July 14, 2022) – A pedestrian was killed after a crash on Indian Street in Moreno Valley.
According to an article published by My News LA, the tragic accident took place on Tuesday night. Officers reported the collision at about 8:50 p.m.
The incident happened on July 12 when a male pedestrian was pushing a shopping cart north in the northbound lane of Indian Street.
A 2005 Toyota Scion XB going north then approached him from behind. In the process, the car struck him just north of Hemlock Avenue.
Victim Hit by Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and found the victim down on the ground. He sustained life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the patient dead at the scene. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, deputies said the driver of the Toyota stayed at the site after hitting the victim. Officers forced Indian Street to shut between Hemlock Avenue and Sinaloa Street following the incident.
The cause of the fatal Moreno Valley pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
