MORENO VALLEY, CA (October 7, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash on the 60 Freeway and Frederick Street in Moreno Valley.

The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Thursday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 2:45 p.m.

According to CHP, five vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Moreno Valley. They crashed on the eastbound 60 Freeway at the Frederick Street off-ramp.

Multiple Vehicles Collide

The incident log described one car as a white colored Mercedes. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.

Medical personnel found one person hurt as a result of the collision. They provided aid to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the accident.

The report did not disclose the name of the wounded victim and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP added that the one of the drivers involved did not stop to help and fled the area.

Officers forced the eastbound 60 Freeway at Frederick to shut down following the incident. The cause of the Moreno Valley hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
