2 Injured in Moreno Valley Crash on Iris Avenue
MORENO VALLEY, Calif. (February 7, 2019) A major-injury crash was reported Tuesday in the 27300 block of Iris Avenue, in the city of Moreno Valley, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
The car accident was reported to police about 6:48 p.m. in front of the Kaiser Permanent hospital. The Moreno Valley Police Department responded with local firefighters to the scene where two vehicles had been involved in a crash and both drivers were badly hurt.
Paramedics rushed the drivers of the two vehicles to a local hospital with various injuries. One of the two drivers suffered multiple traumatic injuries and was listed in critical condition.
The Moreno Valley Traffic Reconstruction Team is heading up the investigation into this collision, but they do not suspect alcohol or drugs were involved.
There was a closure to westbound Iris Avenue until 11:30 p.m.
