Motorcyclist Injured in Moreno Valley Hit-and-Run on 60 Freeway Near Pigeon
MORENO VALLEY, CA (March 13, 2022) – A motorcyclist was hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash on the 60 Freeway and Pigeon Pass Road in Moreno Valley.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the wreck took place on Sunday evening. Officers reported the accident at about 7:11 p.m.
According to their dispatch, a vehicle struck the male motorcycle rider for an unknown reason. The two crashed on the 60 Freeway near Pigeon Pass Road.
Driver Hits Rider, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the bike 100 feet off the road. The motorcyclist ended up lying in the center divider as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and his condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the other driver did not stop to help and fled the area. Officers forced the lanes of the 60 Freeway to shut down near Pigeon Pass following the wreck.
The cause of the Moreno Valley hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
