MORENO VALLEY, California (February 22, 2016) — Four people including three juveniles were injured Saturday night when a teenage driver crashed into a tree at Alessandro Boulevard and Chagall Court, according to a report by the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner.
One young person who was a passenger suffered major injuries in the 8:11 p.m. crash. It appears the driver first collided into a truck and then hit a curb and the tree.
The Moreno Valley Police Department responded with paramedics to help those involved including the critically injured passenger who was extricated using the Jaws of Life. The juvenile passenger was taken to the local regional medical center for treatment of major injuries.
The teenage driver was also treated for injuries as well as a second passenger and an adult who all suffered minor injuries.
The Moreno Valley Traffic Reconstruction Team is investigating the collision. The people who were in the truck were not injured.
