2 Innocent Motorists Injured in Collision at Cactus and Perris
Moreno Valley, CA (April 9, 2022) – One person died, and two others suffered injuries following a car accident that occurred in the area of Cactus Avenue and Perris Boulevard.
Pursuit Ends in Deadly Car Accident at Moreno Valley
According to the Daily Bulletin, a pursuit involving an allegedly stolen vehicle began in Menifee in the early afternoon Friday. Earlier reports indicated officers were chasing a stolen Nissan Sentra.
Officials said Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies deployed a spike strip but the suspect managed to continue northbound on Perris Boulevard.
The article published online mentioned the Nissan eventually entered into the opposite traffic lanes in an attempt to evade police. The pursuit came to an end after the Nissan ran a red light at the Cactus Avenue intersection. Our sources confirmed the Nissan crashed into a gray Toyota Tundra.
Due to the force from the impact, the driver and passenger in the Toyota both sustained injuries. Paramedics transported the two patients to a hospital for further treatment and evaluation.
Meanwhile, the man driving the allegedly stolen Nissan reportedly died in the collision. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
Further investigation is ongoing on the car crash at Cactus Avenue and Perris Boulevard.
