Skateboarder Injured in Collision at Half Road and Mission View Drive Monday
Morgan Hill, CA (August 16, 2021) – A suspected hit-and-run crash occurred Monday in the area of Half Road and Mission View Drive, the California Highway Patrol group reported.
Initial records indicated a male party, possibly a high school student, was riding an electric skateboard in the streets of Morgan Hill. For an unknown reason, a vehicle struck the skateboarder at the intersection of Half Road and Mission View Drive.
CHP logged the incident around 6:16 p.m.
When emergency crews arrived at the crash site, they found the victim lying on the ground. Responding paramedics immediate rendered aid to the skateboarder. According to the dispatch, the patient suffered severe hematoma and concussion to his head; and severe road rash. Additional details on the victim have not been discussed thus far.
Officials later confirmed the motorist continued driving following the collision. At this time, detectives continue to identify and locate the hit-and-run suspect.
Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
