Morro Bay crash Highway 1 Quintana
2 Injured in Morro Bay Crash on Highway 1 Near Quintana Road
MORRO BAY, CA (January 25, 2022) – Two were injured after a car crash on Highway 1 near Quintana Road in Morro Bay.
According to an article published by The Tribune, the accident took place on Tuesday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at around 4:16 p.m.
The incident began when a blue van was crossing Highway 1 at the intersection near Quintana Road outside of Morro Bay. For an unknown reason, the van then collided with a white Dodge truck.
2 Vehicles Collide
The California Highway Patrol said both vehicles obtained heavy damage due to the collision. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
The driver of the van ended up suffering from major injuries following the wreck. Medical personnel took the patient to a local hospital for treatment.
Officials treated the motorist in the Dodge for the minor injuries they sustained in the incident. The report did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced a stretch of Highway 1 to shut down near Quintana after the collision. The cause of the Morro Bay crash is still under investigation.
