3-Vehicle Crash on State Route 1

MOSS LANDING, Calif. (Oct. 30, 2023) — A three-vehicle car accident happened on the southbound Highway 1 at Dolan Road in Monday morning in the Moss Landing area.

The minor-injury collision occurred on State Route 1 at around 8:25 a.m. on Oct. 30th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported a white van, a black Toyota Corolla and a silver Acura were involved. One of the vehicles went through a fence and may have gone into the water, the report said. One person became trapped in the black vehicle after it was pinned between vehicles, but the person was “okay.” Also, airbags in all three vehicles were deployed.

A witness who called 911 told CHP dispatch operators the “black vehicle was at fault.” However, the investigation will ultimate determine fault for the crash.

Meanwhile, paramedics responded to the scene to help at least one person who was injured in the crash.

The cause of the crash and liability for the Moss Landing accident on Highway 1 has not been determined.
