1 Killed in Moss Landing Crash at Highway 1 and Potrero Road
MOSS LANDING, CA (May 7, 2022) – At least one was killed after a car crash at Highway 1 and Potrero Road in Moss Landing.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the tragic accident took place on Saturday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 4:51 p.m.
CHP said four vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Moss Landing. They crashed on southbound Highway 1 at the intersection with Potrero Road.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
The incident log described two of the cars involved as a silver Toyota Corolla and a red sedan. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel confirmed that one person died as a result of the collision. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the southbound lanes of Highway 1 to shut down near Potrero for two hours following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Moss Landing crash is still under investigation.
