Head-on Crash on State Route Highway 1 Cabrillo Highway
MOSS LANDING, Calif. (April 23, 2021) — A head-on Moss Landing crash happened Friday morning on State Route Highway 1.
The collision happened on Cabrillo Highway about 7:16 a.m. on April 13th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Two vehicles collided for unknown reasons in the southbound lanes near Dolan Road, police said. The drivers of a white Toyota Camry and a white Toyota Yaris both suffered major front-end damage in the collision.

Meanwhile, one person became trapped in a vehicle and extricated by arriving firefighters. It’s unknown if anyone was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries. However, the report did not state that anyone was seriously hurt.
Also, tow trucks removed the damaged vehicles from the crash scene, just south of the Moss Landing Power Plant
Finally, the CHP is heading up an investigation into liability for the crash.
