Motorcyclist Injured in Crash on I-405 in Culver City
CULVER CITY, Calif. (March 19, 2025) — A motorcycle accident involving a red Toyota Prius happened Wednesday on the 405 Freeway, just south of Culver Boulevard.
The two-vehicle crash happened around 6:55 AM on March 19th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the motorcyclist went down in the High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lane.
Emergency responders from the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) arrived at the scene to help the injured rider. They located the motorcycle rider and bike blocking the HOV and No. 1 lanes. It’s unknown if the rider was taken to a hospital.
Multiple parties, including other motorists, helped secure the scene to prevent further accidents. A driver in a white Chevrolet Tahoe used the vehicle to block the traffic and protect their rider from being hit by other vehicles.
By 7:09 AM, one lane remained blocked and tow trucks were requested to remove the damaged motorcycle.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
