Motorcyclist Killed in Car Accident on San Diego 405 Freeway
NORTH HILLS, Calif. (August 2, 2024) – A motorcycle rider died early Friday when a dark sedan struck the bike on the San Diego 405 Freeway in North Hills.
According to the California Highway Patrol, police officers responded to the scene at 2:11 a.m. to the northbound lanes of the freeway at Nordhoff Street.
They came upon the severely injured motorcyclist and the sedan stopped in the middle lanes, the CHP report said.
Unfortunately, the motorcycle rider was pronounced dead at the scene. The person’s age, gender and name were not released, pending notification of their next of kin.
Meanwhile, the CHP issued a SigAlert and closed down all traffic lanes on the northbound side of the freeway for a few hours to conduct an investigation.
