Minor Injury Motorcycle Crash in Aptos Hills-Larken Valley

APTOS HILLS-LARKEN VALLEY, Calif. (Oct. 4, 2023) — A multi-vehicle motorcycle accident on Cabrillo Highway 1 happened Wednesday morning near the Mar Monte Avenue exit.

The minor injury collision occurred on State Route 1 around 7:51 a.m. on Oct. 4th in Santa Cruz County, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.

Police reported a driver in a white motorhome “did not see the motorcycle” and moved from the left lane to the right lane into the path of the motorcyclist. The rider tried to avoid hitting the RV, but went on to crash into the back of a black Toyota Camry sedan.

Paramedics responded and transported the injured rider to a hospital with minor injuries. The CHP report stated there were “no visible injuries,” but did not specify what injuries the motorcyclist had.

Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the motorcycle accident on Highway 1.
