Motorcyclist Injured in Crash on State Route 22 in Garden Grove
GARDEN GROVE, Calif. (August 14, 2024) — A box truck and a motorcycle were involved in a traffic accident Wednesday on the Garden Grove 22 Freeway, just east of Knott Street.
A third vehicle was also involved in the collision on the westbound State Route 22 at 9:22 a.m. on August 14th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials report a driver in a box truck struck the motorcyclist due to unknown circumstances and the rider went down in the No. 3 lane of the freeway.
Someone called 911 to report the crash and told CHP dispatch the “rider is conscious but still down.”
Paramedics and police responded to help the injured rider and investigate what happened. The report stated the injuries are minor and the motorcycle rider is expected to survive.
The case remains under investigation to determine fault.
