2-Vehicle Crash Involving Major Injuries
IMPERIAL COUNTY, Calif. (August 27, 2024) — A major injury motorcycle accident happened Tuesday at East Herber Road and Barbara Worth Drive in the Calexico area of Imperial County.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at 5:41 a.m. on August 27th, just east of Herber and south of Hotville, the California Highway Patrol dispatch said.
It’s unknown what led up to the crash at the intersection controlled by a two-way stop for traffic entering Herber Road from Barbara Worth Drive. The report does not specify what direction the vehicles were traveling in when the motorcycle and vehicle collided, but the rider was left seriously injured.
The Imperial County Sheriff’s Office requested an ambulance and a response from the fire department.
The injured rider was taken to a trauma center for treatment, but there are no further details.
Meanwhile, a tow truck removed the motorcycle from roadway.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the crash on Herber Road in Calexico.
