Motorcycle Accident Hesperia Road, Bear Valley Road in Victorville

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (June 11, 2025) — A motorcycle rider was critically injured Tuesday night after a collision with a pickup truck on Hesperia Road in Victorville.

Dean J. Sutherland, 56, of Victorville, was later identified as the man who died.

The two-vehicle crash occurred on June 10, 2025, just north of Bear Valley Road, according to Victor Valley News Group.

Pickup Truck Turns Into Path of Motorcyclist

The rider of a red BMW motorcycle reportedly crashed into the driver’s side of a Ford F-150 pickup truck as it was making a left-hand turn and crossed into the path of the northbound bike.

Paramedics responded and transported the injured motorcyclist to Desert Valley Hospital where the man is receiving treatment for his injuries.

Meanwhile, investigators closed down Hesperia Road between Bear Valley Road and Jasmine Street as they work to determine fault for the collision.

It’s unknown if the driver of the pickup truck was cited or charged due to the crash.

Witnesses should contact the Victorville Sheriff’s Station.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) is working on the case.
