Motorcyclist Injured in 3-Vehicle Collision on State Route 242
CONCORD, Calif. (Oct. 8, 2024) — Two cars and a motorcycle were involved in a traffic accident Tuesday on Highway 242, just south of Concord Avenue in Concord, California.
The multi-vehicle collision occurred on southbound SR-242 at 8:22 a.m. on Oct. 8th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials report the initial crash involved a gray sedan and the motorcycle, but there was also a third vehicle involved, the report said. The vehicles collided in the fast lane, but the rider went down in the No. 2 lane of the highway.
The fire department arrived with paramedics and located the injured motorcyclist with complaints of pain and minor injuries.
It’s unknown if the rider was hospitalized at this time.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed the damaged bike and possibly one other vehicle from the roadway and investigators are working to determine fault for the Concord crash on Highway 242.
