Major Injury Motorcycle Accident in Kern County

Kern County Motorcycle Accident Highway 33 Near Derby Acres (July 16) KERN COUNTY, Calif. (July 16, 2021) — A Highway 33 motorcycle accident happened in Kern County Friday morning in the Derby Acres area.

Also, the collision involving the motorcycle and a Chevrolet 3500 pickup truck happened about 5:58 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

The man riding the bike suffered major injuries in the collision. Paramedics responded and found the man unconscious in the roadway. Next, the injured motorcycle rider was airlifted to Kern County Medical Center.

Additionally, the vehicles involved blocked the southbound lanes in front of Seneca Resources, police said.

Police are reviewing evidence on scene and speaking with the pickup truck driver and witnesses to determine what led to the Highway 33 motorcycle accident.

Meanwhile, investigators will determine fault for the collision.
