Motorcycle Accident I-80 Freeway, Near Central Avenue in Albany

ALBANY, Calif. (May 22, 2025) — A two-vehicle traffic accident involving a motorcycle happened Thursday morning on the I-80 Freeway, near the Central Avenue exit in Albany.

Motorcyclist Injured in Crash on Interstate 80 Freeway

The collision occurred in westbound lanes around 7 a.m. on May 22nd, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A driver reportedly struck a gray Yamaha R6 motorcycle in the slow lane, the report said. The rider went down and suffered a leg injury as well as other complaints of pain, the report said.

Investigation into Motorcycle Collision in Albany

Meanwhile, the driver involved reportedly stopped following the crash and paramedics responded with an ambulance to help the injured motorcyclist.

A tow truck removed the bike due to minor damage.

Investigators are working to determine fault for the motorcycle accident on the 1-80 in Albany.
