Major Injury Motorcycle Crash Near Lawrence Welk Resort Village
HIDDEN MEADOWS, Calif. (Sept. 26, 2024) — A major injury motorcycle accident happened Thursday in Hidden Meadows on the Interstate 15 Freeway near the Lawrence Welk Resort Village.
The two-vehicle collision occurred in the southbound lanes of the I-15 at 6:30 a.m. on Sept. 26th, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatcher report.
CHP officials reported the motorcyclist and a white Lexus were involved and the rider went down in the fast lane of the freeway.
Paramedics responded and transported the injured rider to a hospital for treatment of major injuries including a “compound fracture to the leg,” the report said. It’s unknown at this time if anyone else was injured in the collision.
Meanwhile, a tow truck removed the damaged motorcycle from the freeway and investigators are working to determine fault for the motorcycle accident on the 15 Freeway.
