Motorcycle Rider Hurt in Car Accident
DEL MAR, Calif. (August 15, 2022) — A motorcycle accident happened on the Interstate 5 Freeway near Del Mar Heights on Monday afternoon in San Diego County.
The two-vehicle crash occurred about 12:26 p.m. on August 15th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A motorcycle rider and a driver in a maroon, 4-door sedan collided due to unknown circumstances in the southbound HOV and No. 1 lanes.
The rider suffered undisclosed injuries in the Del Mar collision. Paramedics responded to the scene to transport at least one person to a hospital, but there are no specific details.
Meanwhile, a tow truck removed the motorcycle crash the freeway and police issued a SigAlert.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the Del Mar motorcycle crash.
