Motorcyclist Injured in Crash on I-80 Freeway
ALBANY, Calif. (June 23, 2023) — A multi-vehicle accident involving a motorcycle happened Friday morning on the westbound Interstate 80 Freeway near Buchanan Street in Albany.
The collision occurred in the No. 1 lane of the I-80 near the off ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A Chevrolet Volt operated by state parks, the black Honda motorcycle and a third vehicle were involved in the wreck.
The rider went down in the fast lane and had complaints of shoulder pain and an injury to his right hand, the report said. The bike’s fuel tank was damaged and it required a tow truck.
Paramedics responded and assisted the injured rider, but it’s unknown if the person was hospitalized.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the Albany motorcycle accident on the Interstate 80 Freeway.
