Motorcyclist Injured in Car Accident on Madison Avenue
NORTH HIGHLANDS, Calif. (July 16, 2024) — A motorcycle rider was injured in a car accident Tuesday morning on Madison Avenue in North Highlands.
A witness told authorities the motorcyclist reportedly had a green light when a driver in another vehicle collided with the bike near the off ramp from the Interstate 80 Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The two-vehicle collision occurred in the westbound lanes over the I-80 Freeway at around 10:48 a.m. on July 16th, the report said.
The Sacramento Fire Department responded and located the motorcyclist suffering from a broken leg and possibly other injuries.
The rider was transported to a hospital, but is expected to survive.
Meanwhile, the report did not provide any details about the other motorist.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the motorcycle accident on Madison Avenue.
The crash cause is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
